Overview:

We are currently hiring for a Ladies Teaching Assistant Golf Professional for our Golf Operations department. This is a seasonal positon for our upcoming 2017 summer season.

 

The Ladies Teaching Assistant Golf Professional is responsible/ performs the following:

  • Assists in the administration and scheduling of leagues, tournaments, high school teams and club events
  • Assist in supervising and leading part time and seasonal golf staff
  • Provide private, junior, and group golf lesson instruction to clients
  • Assist with golf clinics as required
  • Works with fellow golf operations employees in a team approach to daily operations; creates and fosters a high degree of customer service and professionalism in the workplace
  • Open and close golf shop in accordance with accepted policies and procedures
  • Utilize the point-of-sale register system to schedule golf tee times, register guests for play, and perform financial transactions
  • Help manage and run outside events
  • Provide courteous customer service to members and guests at all times
  • Outside Services tasks as needed
  • Evaluating and recommending golf equipment to customers

 

Qualified candidates must have:

  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience
  • Golf teaching skills, with emphasis on women, juniors, and seniors
  • Knowledge of USGA rules, handicap, course rating system, and the mechanics of the golf swing; All facets of the golf industry
  • Comprehensive knowledge of world class hospitality and service
  • Working knowledge of computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • At least two years of customer service experience (preferably golf related)
  • Not Required: Passed PAT or LPGA/PGA
  • Valid Driver’s License with driving record that meets Yellowstone Club insurance requirements
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with staff, vendors, management, and membership; Maintain a congenial rapport with all those he/she comes in contact with
