We are currently hiring for a Banquet Coordinator under our Food & Beverage department. The Banquet Coordinator position is responsible for managing in the aspects of banquets or events including set-up, menu selection and food presentation, serving, and cleanup while focusing on detail and quality presentation and customer service. 


The Banquet Coordinator performs the following:

  • Meet with clients to determine scope of event: Listen to needs and present ideas for execution
  • Work with suppliers, contractors, employees, vendors, departments, and many other parties at the same time to coordinate the event timelines
  • Assist with negotiations including, but not limited to: food and beverage, supplies, equipment and signage, décor, flowers, props, staging, transportation and more to meet quality standards and Yellowstone Club expectations
  • Conduct research, make site visits, plan layout of seating, entertainment, decorations, food and beverage stations to suggest event possibilities
  • Assist with creating and revising room layouts for each event
  • Responsible for coordinating with Food & Beverage and Culinary department staff to forecast overall needs of all functions to include setup items
  • Act as the point of contact for events as needed. Assist with complaints, orders, errors, questions, billing, cancellations and other queries
  • Ensure proper setting of buffet tables and other food service tables
  • Supervise and participate in the clearing and post function cleanup and garbage removal
  • Assist in coordination of event logistics, including registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials support and pre- and post-event evaluations. Close out all events as required
  • Possess strong customer service focus striving for high Member and guest satisfaction, going out of the way to be helpful and pleasant, and making it as easy as possible for the Members and guests to do business with the Club for special events, parties or other social activities
  • Be organized and detail oriented, utilizing checklists or other systems to ensure no task is left undone; anticipate events and plan ahead; prepare for the unexpected; remain focused on the end result
  • Remain calm under pressure; handle crisis management as it unfolds and remain flexible to change as events happen


Qualified candidates must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or similar degree, preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in a Supervisory role in Banquets and Catering
  • Excellent organization skills and experience with project management Intermediate level of Microsoft Office systems
  • Demonstrate strong verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Capable to manage multiple priorities, work independently and take initiative
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to meet the company driving insurance requirements
