We are currently hiring for a Banquet Assistant under our Food & Beverage department. The Banquet Assistant is responsible for assisting in the aspects of banquets or events including set-up, menu selection and food presentation, serving, and cleanup while focusing on detail and quality presentation and customer service. 

 

The Banquet Coordinator performs the following:

  • Assist with meeting with clients to determine scope of event: Listen to needs and present ideas for execution
  • Assist with the coordination of event timelines with suppliers, contractors, employees, vendors, and departments
  • Inspect table place settings, including table linen, china, glass, silverware and condiments for correct placement and ensures that each element is clean, undamaged and attractive
  • Assist with managing on-site production and clean up for events as necessary
  • Ensure proper sequence of service for each event
  • Clear post function cleanup and provide garbage removal
  • Assist in coordination of event logistics, including registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials support and pre- and post-event evaluations
  • Assist with inventory of all Yellowstone Club event supplies
  • Possess strong customer service focus striving for high Member and guest satisfaction, going out of the way to be helpful and pleasant, and making it as easy as possible for the Members and guests to do business with the Club for special events, parties or other social activities
  • Be helpful, respectful, approachable and team oriented, building strong working relationships and a positive work environment
  • Be organized and detail oriented, utilizing checklists or other systems to ensure no task is left undone; anticipate events and plan ahead; prepare for the unexpected; remain focused on the end result
  • Remain calm under pressure; handle crisis management as it unfolds and remain flexible to change as events happen

 

Qualified candidates must have:

  • High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work
  • Previous work experience as an Event Coordinator or Planner
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to meet the company driving insurance requirements
  • Capable to manage multiple priorities, work independently and take initiative
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail despite an extremely fast-paced work environment
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays and long shifts
