We are hiring for a Head Golf Professional for our Golf Operations department. Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Golf, the Head Golf Professional leads the technical and managerial supervision of the Golf Operation. The Head Golf Professional will manage the daily operations, alongside the Director of Golf, providing an unmatched golf experience each and every day in every aspect of the golf operation. The Head Golf Professional will work with the Director of Golf to assign responsibilities to each staff members, setting the proper expectations and standards. In addition to the primary focus of leading the daily golf operation, the Head Golf Professional will also be involved within the overall Clubhouse Operation, which includes assisting the Food & Beverage team, aiding the Residential Services team, working with the Lodge Keeping teams to ensure the cleanliness of all aspects of the Golf Clubhouse, attending key social events related to the golf operation, and more.


The Head Golf Professional is responsible for:

  • Administration and management of the daily operation as assigned by the Director of Golf
  • Event and tournament management
  • Management of daily analytics and reporting
  • Assisting the Golf Shop Supervisor with Golf Shop administration
  • Teaching, Club Fitting
  • Playing with members
  • Aiding the Assistant Teaching Professional with the organization of camps and clinics
  • Preparation for year round operation
  • Supervision & training of all Golf staff
  • Staff scheduling
  • Enforcing disciplinary actions and acknowledging staff appreciation
  • Establishing communication between both Members and staff
  • Leading Member reciprocal play requests
  • Assisting with staff onboarding and off-boarding
  • Representing the Golf Operation within specific committees
  • Regulating daily pace of play
  • Setting the standard for customer service in all facets
  • Developing Member relations, and more.


Qualified candidates must have:

  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience
  • Class A member of the PGA of America
  • Three to five years of experience as a Head Golf Professional, or 1st Assistant Professional
  • Three to five years of management experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of world class hospitality and service management, with proven knowledge of world class customer service
  • Complete knowledge of Tournament Operations, USGA Rules of Golf, Handicap Management, Course Rating Systems, Merchandise Management, Club Fitting, Instructional education related to golf swing mechanics, and additional specific golf industry aspects
  • Well versed and current with all facets of the golf world and golf industry
  • Ability to coordinate golf activities and event, including major golf tournaments
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with staff, vendors, numerous departments, management, and membership
  • Maintain a genuine and congenial rapport with all those he/she comes in contact with through a friendly and outgoing personality
  • Excellent technical computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Tournament Software, Jonas Point of Sale System, and more)
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
