We are currently hiring for opening in our Member Services department for a Special Events Manager. The Special Event Manager oversees and organizes details of the special events of Yellowstone Club such as conferences, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, charity events, surprise parties, sales meetings, business meetings, employee appreciation events, and other events as assigned to the standards of Yellowstone Club.

 

 The Special Event Manager position performs the following:

  • Set, communicate and maintain timelines and priorities for each event
  • Work with suppliers, contractors, employees, vendors, managers, and many other parties to coordinate the event timelines
  • Assist with negotiations for clients and vendors including, but not limited to; food and beverage, supplies, equipment and signage, décor, flowers, props, staging, transportation and more to meet quality standards and Yellowstone Club expectations
  • Manage correspondence with Members about their events and offer suggestions to ensure their requests can be met
  • Interfaces with other departments in order to meet Member requests to ensure adequate staff members are scheduled and the venue is set up appropriately and on time
  • Track Member Services department finances including check requests, invoicing, and reporting
  • Conduct onsite inspections and advance preparations for events
  • Development and manage, production and delivery of event from proposal right up to delivery
  • Deliver events on time, within budget, that meet/exceed expectations
  • Ensure that the event venue is “show ready” and staged for all events
  • Manage, coach and schedule event staff in cooperation with Food & Beverage and Culinary staff to ensure they are providing “best in class” service - performing assigned tasks, are in uniform, and serving our Members and guests appropriately and promptly
  • Oversee hiring, training and scheduling of Member Services Events staff
  • Ensure proper planning, acquiring and setup of furniture/fixtures, equipment, decorations, and any other necessary items for the events
  • Propose new ideas to improve the planning and implementation process or to refresh future events
  • Take ownership of the event, do what is needed without being asked, have strong follow through and communication skills throughout the event from inception to completion
  • Be organized and detail oriented, utilizing checklists or other systems to ensure no task is left undone; anticipate events and plan ahead; prepare for the unexpected; remain focused on the end result
  • Remain calm under pressure; Handle crisis management as it unfolds and remain flexible to change as events happen
  • Find solutions to any problems that arise concerning services
  • Ensure services are billed correctly and noted on Member statements
  • Oversee the Floral needs of the department and for Yellowstone Club
  • Source, coordinate and manage outside vendors providing services for our events
  • Provide leadership, motivation, direction and support to the Member Services Events team
  • Organize and manage cleanup and breakdown of the event upon completion

Qualified candidates must have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business or similar field10+ years in Special Events, Catering Sales, or Catering Management at a similar property or Club

We are currently hiring for a PGA Apprentice for our Golf Operations department. This is a seasonal positon for our upcoming 2018 summer season. The PGA Apprentice positon will work with and oversee the Outside Operation Attendants and the Golf Caddies. The Assistant Director of Food & Beverage is responsible for:

  • Responsible for overseeing and maintaining the timing of all dining rooms for which responsible.
  • Schedule staff according to volume of business; understands how to flex when necessary to meet labor expectations; ability to adjust daily operations to be in line with the budget.
  • Manage all F&B and day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards;
  • Understands each front of the house and back of the house job function and trains according to Club standards where necessary.
  • Lead F&B team by recruiting, hiring, and training and growing exceptional F&B employees; be open to communicate with food and beverage employees and other YC departments.
  • Knows, understands and can train others on operating systems such as the POS system, Jonas, Open Table and others, as required.
  • Stays up to date on food and beverage trends and brings creative ideas to the department for consideration.
  • Knowledge on all menu items including preparation, any allergens, and alternative preparations.
  • Knowledgeable on keg and beverage replacement.
  • Responsible for overseeing alcohol consumption per person.
  • Understand Budget: COS, labor cost, monthly financials, flash reports.
  • Supervise inventory management and cost control.
  • Responsible for controlling expenses to include: labor, linen, breakage, shrinkage, beverage, equipment and supplies.
  • Supervise inventories of all china, glassware, and silverware. Maintain par levels commensurate with Club needs.
  • Answer the phone in the appropriate way, including directing the member/guest accordingly to meet their needs.

 

Experience/Education Required

  • 2-4 years in food & beverage management experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Business or Hospitality Management preferred
  • Proficiency in software applications preferred
  • Proven experience using communication and organizational skills to accomplish goals
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Comply with Yellowstone Club traffic, public traffic, and highway safety rules and regulations in operating vehicles

The Camphouse Attendant works in our work-out facility and assists with knowledge about the equipment, fulfill smoothie orders, sign up Members and guests for classes and other work as Health and Wellness Manager assigns.

 

 The Camphouse Attendant position performs the following:

  • Properly open and close Camphouse each day according to Standard Operating Procedures
  • Provide detailed descriptions of Camphouse Fitness Center facility, machinery, fitness events and lessons
  • Make smoothies and juices
  • Accurately charge for all services
  • Interact with Members, guests and prospective guests in person, as well as via phone and email

The Steward position is responsible for:

  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including the dish washing machine, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing station, and trash compactor
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
  • Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock
  • Ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas
  • Use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean dishes
  • Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, send soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing
  • Rack and spray all racked items with hot water to loosen and remove food residue
  • Sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware

  • Clean and mop all areas in assigned outlet
  • Dispose of glass in the proper containers

This position is located in Bozeman, MT.  The Warehouse Delivery Assistant is responsible for supporting the Yellowstone Club’s Warehouse in receiving, organizing, safeguarding and delivering daily shipments of inventories up to the Yellowstone Club.  The Assistant also supports the movement and storage of furniture, fixtures and equipment particularly during seasonal transition periods and during special events.

  • Assist in receiving inventory and non-inventory items for the purpose of ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct
  • Clean warehouse for the purpose of maintaining a safe and sanitary work area

  • Drive vehicles (e.g. truck, van, forklift, etc.) for the purpose of transporting orders and materials to designated sites

Lift Operators’ must work well with others, including coworkers, lift maintenance, lift electrical, ski patrol and outdoor pursuits to ensure efficient operations of our ropeways.

We are currently hiring for the position of Snow Plow Driver for our 2017-2018 winter season. The Snow Plow Drivers are responsible for the de-icing and clearing of snow from walks, driveways and parking lots for various residential and commercial properties throughout Yellowstone Club property in an efficient manner, promoting job worksite safety, providing excellent customer service, and exhibits pride and quality workmanship. The Snow Plow Drivers will operate a snowplow, tractor with a plow, shovels, snow blowers, and other power and manually operated tools and equipment used to perform snow removal. This often involves going out late at night or early in the morning to clear snow since precipitation is unpredictable and roads need to be cleared before traffic hits. The Drivers are responsible for the safe operation and daily inspection of the vehicles including: fluid levels, engine belts, tires, brakes, lights, plow, etc.

We are currently hiring for the position of Snowmaker for our Mountain Operations department for the 2017-2018 winter season. The Snowmaker position maintains snow guns, hoses, hydrant and pump when snowmaking is operational.  

 

The Snowmaker position performs the following:

  • Operate snowmaking equipment for creating manufactured snow from water resources
  • Produce quality snow through the use of both air/water and fan equipment
  • Constant relocation of guns and hoses to various areas around the mountain
  • Adjusting, turning or moving of snow guns, sometimes by hand, to maintain snowmaking efficiency
  • Adjusting the water and or air flow to snow guns
  • Changing nozzles on snow guns when necessary to maintain efficiency
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on equipment, including checking water pipes, fluid levels and volume, temperature controls, energy consumption, and diesel fuel systems
  • Document and report mechanical/safety issues, complete maintenance logs and checklists
  • Perform light maintenance or repairs on equipment
  • Shovel snow, remove snow around snowmaking equipment and other areas around the resort as needed
  • Maintain all safety barriers, padding and guards around snowmaking equipment.
  • Work safely in close proximity to heavy equipment, high voltage, and high water pressures
  • Perform other duties as assigned while waiting for optimum snowmaking weather
  • Work closely with and assist other departments such as Grooming, Ski Patrol, Lift Operations.
  • Test the quality of snow as it is made, reporting findings and conditions to the supervisor
  • Drive snowmobiles, trucks and ATVs as necessary

 Qualified candidates must have:

  • High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work required
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in small engine and/or snowmobile maintenance, preferred
  • Valid State Driver’s License
  • The ability to work in adverse weather conditions include wind, snow, ice
  • Good communication skills and accurately follow instructions
  • Able to safely lift 50lbs.

  • Build progressive lesson plans and maintain a schedule. Snowsports Instructors work with clients to set expectations and achieve learning objectives based on lesson per the group size and skill level. The Instructors will break down the lesson into skiing/riding concepts and teaching methodology that fits the client(s). Snowsports Instructors will need to arrange classes and lessons at times that are convenient for the clients.
  • Provide excellent customer service. Teaching clients how to ski requires patience and excellent communication skills. Snowsports Instructors will be working with a variety of personalities and need to make clients feel safe and comfortable, while delivering information in an understandable manner with respect to individual learning preferences.

  • Creditable experience in teaching and/or coaching in skiing, riding, or other related field.

The Supervisor will oversee the Guest Experience Coordinators who are responsible for the prep, point-of-contact, and departure of the Members and guests staying in the Rental Program Units on property. To be successful in this position the candidate must have the desire to serve in a high-end property environment, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and have a high level of attention to detail when it comes to management and communication.

 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Assist in managing Guest Experience Coordinators including recruitment, hiring, scheduling, coach and counsel, train and disciplinary action where necessary
  • Supervise Guest Experience Coordinators in the preparation, arrival, check-in, daily service, and departures of the Work as a liaison between the sales department and their prospective Members to define, secure, and execute any special requests during the Member’s visits to the portfolio of homes in the Rental Program

The Beverage/ Sommelier Manager position performs the following:

  • Manage sommelier staff including recruitment, hiring, scheduling, coach and counsel, train and disciplinary action where necessary. Evaluate on-the-job performance.
  • Managing all aspects of purchasing, establishing preferred vendors, selecting and purchasing quantities of goods and merchandise, pricing of beverages, and negotiation contracts with vendors.
  • Serve as the in-house expert on optimal wine and food pairings through compliment and contrast.
  • Maintain revenue and profit goals while surpassing our member and guest’s expectations of liquor, beer and wine selected.
  • Meet financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions to ensure meeting goals and objectives.
  • Train the various service teams on the various restaurants wine lists, by-the-glass lists, specialty drink lists, proper beverage service techniques, and successful food and wine pairings; Instill confidence with service teams in selling alcohol beverages responsibly.
  • Work the floor in each restaurant one night a week to get to know the membership and work with the service teams to refine and constantly improve Yellowstone Club’s restaurants service levels.
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop wine lists that compliment menu appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends in both the culinary, wine, beer, and spirits world.
  • Interact with members and guests to provide knowledge and expertise related to wine origin and nature of flavor.
  • Document member favorites as notes in the point of sale system.
  • Ensure proper storage of various types of beverages.
  • Analyze Food & Beverage operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.
  • Utilize information technology to record sales figures, for data analysis and forward planning.

  • Prepare staff work schedules to accommodate the expected business demand.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Restaurant Management or related area
  • 5+ years’ experience in beer, classic wine service, beverage selection knowledge and experience

The Gondola/Detachable Lift Electrician preforms annual, monthly, weekly, and daily maintenance on aerial lift electrical equipment and the mountain’s automated snowmaking system.

 

The Gondola/Detachable Lift Electrician will respond to and determine the cause of lift electrical problems, with response and correction to be completed as quickly and safely as possible with the public’s safety, and your own safety being the highest priority. All actions by the Gondola/Detachable Lift Electrician is done while implementing and ensuring compliance with all Manufacturer’s, ANSI, OSHA and Yellowstone Club safety policies and procedures.

We are currently hiring for Snow Groomers for our winter season. The Groomers operate our SnowCats and grooming equipment to ensure Yellowstone Club has its legendary groomed terrain open to members and guest throughout the season.
